Durham Recruiting is on the search for an experienced Production Supervisor for our small/mid size print production plant in Oshawa. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a non-union environment and who loves to get to know the people on the plant floor (given its size).

  • In a nut shell, under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor will responsible for all production employees’ activities.
  • Reporting daily to the Plant Manager with daily updates on safety, quality, production and staff
  • Ensuring highest quality standards of all times and safe operation of all machines
  • Correct / Resolve and safety, quality or employee productivity problems / issues
  • Increase productivity, work with employees to ensure efficiencies
  • Work closely with Shipping / Receiving to ensure tasks are completed and sent
  • Check on materials / inventory in place to complete work orders
  • Most importantly lead by example when it comes to professionalism in the work place, health and safety, quality and respect for others
  • Weekly / Monthly reports
  • A full list will be given during the face to face interview  

What We Need From You:  

  • Positive and outgoing personality – a genuine love for Supervising and working with people
  • Ability and proven success working with the young employees to those that are near retirement
  • Proven success working in a manufacturing setting
  • Mechanically inclined – must know your way around a machine and be willing to jump on one when needed in an emergency
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Good computer skills, Word, Excel
  • Passion for Health & Safety – must lead by example
  • 3+ years in a Supervisor role
