Durham Recruiting has an opportunity for a Project Coordinator to be a part of growing company in Pickering. We are looking for a quiet, highly organized Coordinator that is capable of reading blueprints, interior and mechanical drawings.

The Role in a Nutshell:

  • At any given time you could be working on 15 projects (ranging from 20k to 500k+)
  • You will have our ‘finger on the pulse’ – you will be the backbone of the projects
  • Once the tender has been won this is where you will step in and fill out the paperwork needed to get the project set up. Your first job is to get samples, colours, change orders as needed dealt with, adjusting costing and reaching out to clients with these changes
  • Responsible for sending site instructions, change orders, prepare drawings with outline for colours, marking the drawings, assisting Project Manager
  • Drawings come to our client in PDF form and changes are made accordingly and notes made for the team on site

What We Need From You:

  • 3+ Years in a Project Coordinating role from the Construction industry
  • Experience working on both small and large construction (or similar industry) projects
  • Experience with blueprints, interior and mechanical drawings
  • Experience with new builds and retrofit projects
  • Excellent communication skills – you will be dealing with people from skilled trades up to owners and On-Site Managers
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Calm and quiet in nature, a go getter to the core
